The Walnut Bend Solar Substation Project is a 34.5KV-115KV substation that connects the Walnut Bend Solar Project to the Entergy Arkansas transmission system. Our scope of work on this project includes all structural and electrical equipment procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning for a complete turnkey substation. For this project, we worked closely with our client to provide consistent value engineering opportunities, working directly with multiple suppliers across the globe to source and actively navigate through some of the toughest supply chain challenges to meet the client’s expectations and deadlines.
This project consisted of a collector yard substation with 2 feeder breakers, 1 capacitor breaker, 1 115kv breaker and multiple air break switches. This project began its initial kickoff with lead time procurement efforts back in 2022 and is scheduled for energization in early 2024.
